日本のスニーカー文化を原宿から世界へ発信するプレミアム・スニーカーブティック＜KICKS LAB.＞が考える未来に向けた活動"KL SPORT"が始動。その記念すべき第一弾として、＜KICKS LAB.＞が手掛けたコラボレーションモデル＜PUMA PALERMO MIJ KL SPORT＞が登場する。

スニーカーのシワや汚れ、それらを好まないスニーカーマニアは多いかもしれない。しかし、履き込むことでできるシワや汚れなどのエイジングを"アジ"と表現し、理想のフォルムを求めて"自分だけの一足を作り上げていく"がコンセプトとなっている。"履いて磨く(=育てる)"を習慣的に繰り返し、それにより履く人だけのオリジナルが完成する。

モデル名の"パレルモ"はイタリア・シチリア島北西部の地名から由来し、1980年代のテラススタイルを代表する名作モデルとなった。本作は、上質な素材選びと日本の職人によって生産された"MADE IN JAPAN (MIJ)"シリーズ。まさにクラフトマンシップの精神がプロダクトに宿っている。

メイン素材には"アジ"が感じられやすいブラックのナチュラルレザーとヌバックレザーによるコンビネーションアッパーを採用。アクセントとして、フォームストリップにはエナメル素材で光沢感のある鮮やかなオレンジ、ライトブルーのステッチングとシューレースチップ、ライナーにはライムイエローを配色。インソールは＜KICKS LAB.＞のストアカラーでもあるブラック×ホワイトで彩色した。

本来の＜PUMA PALERMO＞が持つルーツを軸に、どこか懐かしい雰囲気と遊び心をくすぐるデザインに仕上げた。日常の生活や行動で作り出す"アジ"を楽しみながら自分だけの一足を作り出してはいかがでしょうか？

＜KICKS LAB.＞, a premium sneaker boutique that introduces Japanese sneaker culture from Harajuku to the world, has launched “KL SPORT", an activity for the future. As a memorable first step, the collaborative model “PUMA PALERMO MIJ KL SPORT” produced by KICKS LAB. will make its debut.

Many sneaker enthusiasts may not like wrinkles and stains on their sneakers. However, the concept is to “create your own pair” in pursuit of the ideal form, describing the wrinkles, stains, and other aging effects of breaking in a new pair of sneakers. "Wearing and caring (=cleaning)" repeatedly on a habitual basis creates your original pair.

The model name “PALERMO” is derived from the name of a place in northwestern Sicily, Italy, and it became a masterpiece model representing the terrace style of the 1980s. This model is from the “Made in Japan (MIJ)” series, produced by Japanese craftsmen using the finest materials. The spirit of craftsmanship is truly embodied in these products.

The main material is a combination of black natural leather and nubuck leather upper, which gives the shoe an “aging” feel. The enameled formstrips in bright orange with a glossy feel, with light blue stitching and lace tips, and lime yellow for the liner are adding a nice accent to the kicks. The insoles are colored in black and white, the store colors of ＜KICKS LAB.＞.

The design is based on the roots of the original ＜PUMA PALERMO＞, and is finished with a nostalgic atmosphere and a playful tickle. How about creating your own unique pair of shoes while enjoying the “aging” created by your daily life and activities?
