The brand was launched in 1960 when they succeeded in commercializing sandals for the first time, based on the footbed (Einlagen) that had been in production since 1896. All brands start from here, starting with the first model Madrid, and now have a wide variety of models including Arizona, Zurich, Ramses, London, and Montana. Since the brand's establishment, we have consistently focused on production in Germany and continue to release standard items that transcend time and trends. Each model is named after a city around the world, inspired by Karl Birkenstock's wish for ``the health of all people, regardless of age, gender, race, or nationality.''

London was inspired by the classic Boston. This simple-looking shoe features a seamless design with a raised heel. The liner has been removed to create a natural, country-style appearance that takes advantage of the texture of the raw edges. This classic is now available in a warm and cozy model using lambskin boa. The super soft suede on the upper wraps your foot like another layer of skin, giving it a natural feel.
